The photo Fete in Priory Field shows “Dickinson’s Cottage”. During my childhood it was occupied by Joe Dickens, his daughter Mary Dickens & her son Roger Dickens. So presumably Dickens Cottage. Mary was a conductor with Adelaide. My father Hugh Pell & his mother Annie Hudson (Pell nee Rouse) lived in the cottage prior to his marriage in 1935 when he moved across the road to what is now known as Strawberry Cottage (!), which was my mother’s Evelyn (Eva) Davey’s home.
Adelaide should read Delaine Coaches!
